World Games adds Lacrosse in 2017!

Lacrosse took a very big and important step towards its olympic induction aspirations when the IWGA added the sport to the 2017 lineup. Warclaw, Poland was named as the host city for the 2017 event. Poland, being a huge supporter and competitor of lacrosse, was very eager to add lacrosse to the program of the World Games.

DLF is very excited about the prospect of sending a team to represent Denmark in Poland at the 2017 World Games. I believe that we can all share in the excitment of the impact this decision will make for lacrosse on the international stage.

Israel becomes the newest lax nation.

DLF would like to welcome the newest member in European Lacrosse, Israel.

ELF has officially accepted Israel's application to join our European lacrosse family. DLF fully supports Israel's membership and looks forward to meeting them on and off the field!

Lacrosse i biografen

Lacrosse går til filmen. For første gang nogensinde er lacrosse og dets historie omdrejningspunktet i en typisk underdog mainstream sportsfilm. Crooked Arrows kommer i de amerikanske biografer den 12. april 2012. Se den officielle trailer her.

Fall scrimmage in Odense

For the last couple of months, a gym teacher at Odense Katedralskole has been teaching lacrosse to his class. On October 8th players from Copenhagen, Århus and KFB went to Odense to play a 10-on-10 game with the students.

The weather looked grim as the field was put up, but a bit of lacrosse apparently pleased the weather gods (why wouldn't it?). Even though the sun never really came out the students played well and impressed the DLL players.

After the game, there were a trick shot competition and a shot accuracy competition. We can conclude that all DLL players have to put more practice hours into accuracy and less into trick shots.

We are working on putting up some footage of the trick shot competition - well, isn't that a cliff hanger.

Hopefully, this project has helped develop lacrosse in Odense so that in the near future they'll be playing in the DLL again.
