EXCITEMENT INTACT - By Rasmus Bonde Stouby
Denmark is 2-0. We managed to defeat Spain (curiously enough with the same digits as Finland) 16-11. Finland is also undefeated.
Once again Spain, led by the talented Gonzalez duo and De La Casa, jumped to the lead in the first. Denmark managed to catch up and take the lead in the second Spain held on though and even took the lead again once. Denmark rallied together and Spain was a little bit out of breath and that decided the match.
And sure enough Finland was there on the sidelines scouting us out in the heat. Also our new spanish friends told us later that Fins had tried to milk the Spaniards for info on us. It is going to be a great game.
Tiny's (our goalie) little brother Craig arrived today and put on jersey number 12 (remember the kid we called from the car in Detroit?). He got his first run against Spain and did well.
Tomorrow is our day off and we wont be watching TV, because we haven't found it yet. Then again we haven't really looked... We're too busy breathing lacrosse. |
