The National danish womens team takes second place
With the championship now ended, the women took second place loosing slightly to Ireland in the final.
The Danish team played solid defence, but the cage in the other end seemed jinxed, as the ball would not go in, leaving the game tied 1-1 with just over one minute left. A last effort from the Irish team scored them a goal, forcing the Danish team to pressure to try and win the ball. Unfortunatly the pressure left holes in the otherwise tight defence, and the Irish scored again with just 20 seconds left, ending the game 3-1. DLF would like to thank the participating nations, the planning comittee, the volunteers helping out at the tournament and Mr. Peter Mundy for attending this event. |
